The University of Queensland Art Museum is an inspiring and stylish location for cocktail functions, public lectures, presentations and launches. Housed within the award-winning James and Mary Emelia Mayne Centre, UQ Art Museum is the perfect location to hold a special event.

UQ Art Museum is available to departments within the university community as well as external groups and organisations. Gallery spaces are opened during private events for the exclusive viewing of your guests. Guided tours of the exhibitions are also available on request.

Booking your event

1. Download the 'Conditions of Hire Form' and 'Booking Form'.
2. Contact the Visitors Services Officer to discuss the details of your request to hold an event. The request will be presented for approval to the Director of UQ Art Museum. 
3. If alcohol is being served an 'Application for Permission to Keep or Consume Intoxicating Liquor on Site' must be lodged with UQ Security.
4. UQ Security will notify the hirer of approval to serve alcohol, a copy of this approval must be provided by the hirer to UQ Art Museum.
